Watching the final season of your best TV show is always a bummer, especially when you relate so much with the characters – it’s like the end of a playdate.
While I can’t assure anyone that season 3 is the end, one thing is for sure: Youngins is the best youth-driven TV series by far, and not only did we enjoy the drama and thrill, but the cast and crew also had quite a blast creating this masterpiece.
One of our favourite characters, Buhle (Kealeboga Masango), revealed that it wasn’t always a smooth sail, but friendship and support kept them going. So I guess the glue bringing everyone together and pushing the narrative is not only on screen but behind the scenes as well.
From the previous two seasons, we had a rollercoaster ride filled with love triangles, hate and forgiveness between friends being part of the central themes – with the series having caught so much attention and sparked intense debate and conversations between youngsters and parents, it sure served its purpose.
For Kealeboga, Youngins wasn’t just another acting gig; “
it’s educational too. It highlights real-life situations that many young people have experienced. And for those who haven’t, it helps them understand and maybe even avoid certain challenges.”
Youngins season 3 promises more character development, more drama and, most of all, it promises a wild rollercoaster ride.
